Find the Right Path to Healing for You
Therapy for Individuals and Couples
in Columbus, OH, and online statewide
You always thought you could keep it together.
If there’s an argument with your partner, you’re the first to apologize or make things right. But one more argument is going to make you snap!
When facing repeated disappointment and heartbreak, you put on a smile and always reply, “I’m fine.” But you’re not sure how much longer you can wear the mask.
Your friends and family think you’re fearless, and nothing bothers you. But they don’t know about the countless sleepless nights because your brain jumps from one worry to the next.
Anger, fear, despair, grief… these emotions control you, and it seems like they’ve taken over.
Nothing has worked…
“They said yoga could help. But it was just frustrating and annoying – I’m not doing that again.”
“Meditation is supposed to help calm me, right? Why am I still angry?”
“Just one more drink. This will be the last. It’ll help me forget about the mess in my life.”
“I thought the vacation away would help me relax. So why am I more uptight than before I left?”
“Who am I kidding? Nothing’s going to help me get over this pain.”
You need to team up!
Teaming up brings strength.
Working with a counselor is an alliance that will allow you to overcome your challenges, find a new perspective, and experience lasting change.
Therapy can help you reclaim your life!
Andrew is angry.
He has no patience for bad drivers. When he arrives at the office, he doesn’t want to speak to his coworkers and just wants to be left alone.
Andrew has more bad days than good ones. This continued spiral of hopelessness is frustrating – he doesn’t see a way out.
He feels like no one understands him, and no one ever will.
Why can’t he get his anger under control? His wife complained again because he forgot to take out the trash, and he raised his hand, ready to strike.
“I have to get this under control… I can’t believe how close I came to hitting my wife today.”
Alex is anxious..
Alex gets nervous when they meet new people. All the tricks and tips to overcome the anxiety of making new friends don’t work.
They cannot sit still for more than 5 minutes. Plagued with racing thoughts about making sure they don’t say something stupid or get called on by the teacher, sitting through classes and concentrating is unbearable.
Alex has trouble trusting others. Dealing with bullies in the past has made them worry about people’s true intentions.
They wish they could skip high school altogether. Being around so many people, wondering what they think about them, and the stress of interacting and what to say weighs heavy on them.
Darryl is depressed.
Darryl has struggled with his weight since childhood. Growing up, he was called “Big D.” Even as an adult, the nickname has stuck, and he hates it!
He stays in his room unless it is absolutely necessary to go out. The constant stares and whispers of strangers make him feel defeated.
Darryl fixates on his weight and how others view him. He feels worthless. The pain of how he thinks others see him overshadows his motivation to get out there and live the life he really wants.
Grace is grieving.
Grace lost her husband six months ago. They were married for nearly 40 years.
She hasn’t changed the house or gotten rid of any of his things. Removing anything that reminds her of her husband is like having to say goodbye all over again.
Grace has dreamed about him non-stop. When she wakes up in the morning, the shadow of his loss continues to follow her, and it consumes her throughout the day.
Grief is attacking Grace. The idea of joy, laughter, and happiness is a far-gone distant memory she feels she’ll never experience again.

Hi, I’m Jeff.
I am a very empathetic listener who also will tell you “how it is!”
My goal is to understand you and your specific needs – and then teach you how to meet them.
It is my greatest hope and desire that you will learn self-regulation – how to control yourself and your emotions.
Teaming up with me will bring the strength you need to overcome the pain in your life.
Together, we’ll help you find healing.
Andrew, Alex, Darryl, and Grace teamed up with me. Just as I helped them, I can help you, too.
Andrew is now aware of his anger and is improving. He looks forward to tomorrow because he’s determined to make it a good day. He’s also learned to express himself so others understand him better, and his marriage is growing stronger every week.
Alex is gradually learning to open up and meet others. They learned mindfulness techniques and can relax in their environment. They also have two new friends they trust and are getting better grades.
Darryl is working on self-improvement. He’s joined a social group and is making new friends. His self-esteem and self-image have greatly improved, and he has learned how to address people calling him “Big D.”
Grace opened up and talked about her loss. She’s reached out to her family to help her start packing up her husband’s things and has seen what her life can look like going forward. She has learned “Planned Grief” and is attacking grief before it has a chance to attack her.
I’ll be your partner on this healing journey.
I am ready to “team up” with you to lessen your pain
and get you back in control of your life.
